5th/6th July

Post by 2.8SURF »

Can I start this one :D

Surf decided it wanted to break no.2 glow plug tip off and make its way out the exhaust but not before bending no.2 exhaust valve on the way through.
Makes a hoorah of a noise now

Guess next weekend is removing the head and seeing weather I got lucky and just need a new valve and gaskets or if it been impacting the piston and head so will need new pistons and head

bugger. what rotten luck that it caught the valve.

was a little busy early in the week. stripped the interior of the surf and removed the bumper and towbar to get it ready for panelbeater to fix the rust. found more holes $$$$$ :(

unfortunately i've also found my new house has had a dodgy builder repair the floor. the bathroom has more holes in it than the surf!
so busy fixing that at the moment.

Went along to Club training day. About 20 trucks turned up!

Great day out made possible by the great landowners allowing access. We had access to an area which had plenty of ascents and descents.

A mix of newbies and experienced members saw everyone able to learn some new things and practice some basics.

Typically amazing Marlborough weather too!
