rattle/knock? 2.5 turbo d

hi guys i went 4wding on weekend and got to hut etc fine went for a drive a couple hours later was fine then next morning started my truck up and had a slight knock which i didn't think anything or went down to the river and on my way back up its a hectic hill i snapped front drive shafts so i walked back to get another truck and tools got the rest of the shaft off and started my truck up sounds like a bearing ? could it be possible for a stone or bits of metal got into the flywheel as the covers not on and be causing these noises? get louder and faster as you rev the motor which makes me think bearing?

Whats your oil pressure like? Bottom end bearings possibly?

i dont have a oil pressure gauge but i now remeber i put some really thin oil in it? could that cause it
