Post by nuts »

spent the best part of a month improving recovery gear ... put in a 240 volt petrol genneratorjust big enuf to run my portable welder and fridge ... also put in a modified signwave inverter to run my laptop as going to ch ch in abt 5 days to get a goood gps to link up was a bit of hassel sorting the inverers as i run 3 of them 24volt to 12 volt as well as 2 240 volt inverters... so generator has a 12 volt battery charger built in just incase also put new bushes in front ent ... new engine mounts ....new mudders 33x12.5x15 buckshot maxis mudders
oh and hardwired in my 3 way fridge onto a false floor giving me enuf room under it to store 2 jerry cans and tools as wel as some recovery gear :D

You should see what I have made over the last week and what I have planned  As for all that technology, just wouldn't use it. I can run maps as it is on my GPS. Looking at mountng a frdge in though on top of the storage draws/false floor I have made up.

Looking at the waeco thermoeletric one TS21 I think is the model number. Not going for gas as I am never stopped enough to use gas, plus the pig is 24volt. Will probably mount a deepcycle 12 volt to run it and have some solar panels mounted on the roof to trickle charge when parked up.

Well when you do trips with me, you live out of your vehicle for days on end, longest stretch was 9 days. Plus I'm an Aussie, we tend to mod thr trucks to live out of them

Post by nuts »

my nxtdoor neighbr put me onto it as my alternater has a duel pully so wouldnt b 2 hard to fit a second 1  so all i have to do is make a bracket to support the extra alternater but looking @ putting it on a long shaft and placing it infront of the firewall infront of the fuel filter due 2 to the space there soit wld b set up pully above existing pully on a long shaft alon-ng the side of engine to 2nd alternater .... think it will wrk hope it does
