Thoughts on this alternator

Its just like all the other generic copy stuff out there, you get what you pay for.
When upgrading safari alternators we use one suited to an Isuzu NKR.
A genuine Hitachi one new is about $1100 but they can be had second hand for 250-300.
The biggest problem with any after market alternators or starters is getting parts for them if they do crap out after the warranty period, and for this reason we are very picky about what we use and where we get it from.

That one listed above also has a small vac pump on it which is not ideal on a Safari.

if you are after a 24v safari alternator think i may have one at my lockup .box of green men will take it

cheers for that gents i am keen in getting grunter 1 seen a few 70a rebuilt 1s around. sig that sounds good mate i may hit you up if i cant find a new 1 thanks
