Help wtd y60 wheels

Post by pajero1983 »

Hi I have done a search on here to find out what offset rims I should be looking at buying but so many people say different things. So my y60 safari has a 2inch lift and is running 33x12.5x15inch mt on 15x8 mags I want to change to steel wheels but I am unsure of the correct offset to buy and if I should be looking at 15x10s maybe?. I have been looking at sets on trade me for around $400.00 what's your opinions.

I have various wheels that I've used.
15x8 -11 with 35 x 11.5. OK
15x8 -16 with 35x11.5 Better
16x8 -21 wwith 33x12.5 Best offset and soon to fit 35's to those wheels. (but not on a Safari now)
Currently have 33x12.5 on 15x8 -15 (alloys) on a LWB Safari with 2"lift and factory flares. No rubbing etc apart from when really heavy load and offroad. This is my wife's car so doesn't really go offroad much though.

Pretty much any thing from -15 to -25 will be OK. Be careful with wheel width though as some tyres specify 8.5" wheels for 12.5" wide tyres. But some state 8. (minimum)
Nissan Terrano coilovers, turboed VH45, Safari axles, and some other stuff.
