Diff ratio for 1kz on r151f gear box

Post by Camfitz30 »

I have just done a conversion on my ln130, from a 2LTE to a 1kz, Manuel pump etc on a r151f gearbox. I have a set of 4.11 diffs and a set of diffs out of the 2LTE r151f which I don't know what ratio they are...

Which diffs would be better to get the revs down on the open road? With 31, 32 inch tyres...

Cheers

one thing to watch with a 4.1 diff is first gear starts might be a little tough at times. i can't remember what the kn130's came out with. you might want to look at 4.3's. it will rev a bit more in highway use but certainly easier going in the slow stuff and hill starts.
i run 4.56 with 31" and r151f, and it rev's its nuts off. but thats typical for an L series engine. 1kz are generally lower rev'ed.
