disco 1 285 75 16s on std rims mods needed?

Post by 44jetboat »

hi guys

this is been done to death online but cant seem to find a def answer

truck is lifted 2inch with springs and shocks. no sway bars

currenty running 235 85 16s. have done camel cut

wanting to go to a 33 inch tyre as the club im with this is the max size your allowed.

i have front and rear air lockers in the truck but just get hung up on the diffs in ruts. also my air bag approved front winch bar hangs out alot at the front. bigger tyres would help the approch angle.

anyone put this size tyre on factory 7 inch rims

much trimming needed? as really dont want flex flares body lift etc as it is my daily. tho i run 2 sets of rims. muds and roads.

other option is 255 85 16s. but cant seem to find for a good price. as i have been offered the 285 75 16s for 950 fitted and can sell my near new 235 85 16s.

any help would be great.

a 255 / 85 R16 Fits Nicely on a 7" Disco Rim
I would prefer the 255/85 over the 285/75 as the 255/85 are a slightly taller and skinner tyre. 33x10" compared to 32x11"
