hilux lift

hi all i just put some max trax leaf springs in the front of my 1986 (but same shape as the 80 to 84) hilux thay are heavy duty and about 50 mill llift the prob i have is the drive shaft it now to short dose anny body no if thay are susposto move in and out as i thort thay wer? looks like it dose but dose not move anny help would b good thanks

if its moved all the way out it could have turned slightly and the splines not lined up. also the drive shaft has a grease nipple to put grease into the spline.

if it hasnt had any for a while you might have to take drive shaft off and free it up. ive done the same lift in my truck ( but a 1990) and the spline moved out enough.

the old leavs wer bending the other way lol rooted i think it might have pushed in to far and is stuck will take it off 2morow and try to free it up thanks for that

sometimes they also compress fully and its hard to extend them again because of the vacuum created..

keep tryin to gently prise apart? failin that, brute force and ignorance.. :lol:

well got the drive shaft off tried to free it up lol wont even move even tied one end to a tree the other end to my truck and tried to pull them apart that way but no go going to try using a gas tourch 2 day to heat it up after that im stuck for idears?

still cant get it apart a enginer at work is going to try tomorow if no anny body got a good front drive shaft thay want to sell?

not yet deoped it off to a engener at work yesterday so hope hell have good news for me today
