alternator wires
can any one tell me if all 3 of these wires go to the back terminal thing of the alternator or not i can not for the life remember were the thick black one goes

Re: alternator wires
Thick black = earth. You can see in pic where it screws to, the holes pretty much where the eyelet terminal has left its shadow
Re: alternator wires
That wire that comes out of that cylinder thing that is bolted to earth go's to the positive output on the alternator, its a compensator to stop electrical noise or something known as electrickery.........
then the other one with the back ribbed conduit looks like the power out put witch go's under the grey control plug thing that's already plugged in.
and then the last one I believe is the earth witch has been previously stated.
cheers Pete

Re: alternator wires
You can put the earth on the suppressor (cylinder thingie) but make sure it is tight. I have had to before when the hole shown is stripped of it's threads. There is another place on the back housing just above the pivot bolt.
Cheers,

I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!
