Do you have 2 of the same filters? Double check, allot of them use 2 very different types. The bypass filter is quite a bit more expensive. I used ryco filters but might be better ones.

I've been using fleetguard filters. seems to build oil pressure faster with them than the rycos.

I used the brand that the UD trucks service agent uses can't remember what they were called, mainly cos I got them at cost. Also used ryco. Seemed about the same. Used valvolone diesel extra oil, had horrible oil pressure probs with it for some reason. The last one I used was that calibre stuff from super cheap, seemed better.
But as mentioned prepare for a shock if yours has the bypass filter, is about double the price of the standard filter

having recently just done a filter change on my TD42 putting on 2 of the same filters..

Other than if there is 2 different filters already fitted how would one tell if its meant to be running a bypass filter?

cheers

Any one have a Ryco, wix, nissan part number for the filters?
I can cross reference with Donaldson and get them really well priced.
Any diesel filters or oil filters I can get if anyone wants Donaldson ones?
Just give me a number to cross reference. :D
Its better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

If both the filters are the same, the Donaldson part number is P557780.
