Wtd:buy/swap 1/4 pane 40 series doors for single pane doors

Anyone removed the quarter glass windows in their 40/45 series doors and replaced them with the single glass windows.

I can get some single pane regulators from Aussi but not sure if they can be fitted to my doors.

Did toyota make a single pattern door with multiple fitting for all the window options?

I like the idea of using the single pane in my chopped 79 fj45 ute (tidys up that area of the build a little - less cluttered) and see doors without the quarter glass but not sure if they are a specific year onwards or just depends on what was ordered from the factory. Not worried about getting glass made for the window as I would have to anyway one way or another.

Ive got 2 pairs of doors to play with (or swap a pair for a pair without the quarter glass) so might attack the worst condition one and see what's inside...

Not sure about years for the difference. I had heard that the doors with full glass were originally for the US market.

As far as I could tell when I was looking around for bits when I had a 40, the full glass was rare in NZ.

Also fairly sure that the full glass was only on late 1980 onwards...

It's a while before I need to worry about the doors (few months maybe) so I'll keep looking I guess.

So anyone got some single pane front doors from a fawdy they want to swap for some with 1/4 glass?
