Had a fuel issue for the last few months. Idles a bit rough in the morning and if I dont keep the revs up with the hand throttle or accelertator, it can die and is hard to restart. If the revs start dropping and is about to die I can pump the primer and it runs perfect for half a minute then idle starts dropping off again. If I drive around the block it goes back to normal and will idle fine. No excessive smoke. Cleaned/replaced fuel filters. Blew out the lines. Checked air intake.
Today I checked the fuel tank and foud the fuel to be quite black and all the surfaces are very slimy. Diesel bug I suspect. Pulled all the fuel out (40 litres

) used petrol to clean the tank and fuel lines and blew them out with air gun. And another new fuel filter. Have not een able to put new fuel in yet so not sure if the problem is gone.
Questions! Do I still need to treat the fuel tank for the diesel bug or is it gone now?
Short of pulling injectors and pump is there anything else I should be looking at to solve the problem?
Seems like the pump and injectors are ok because when its been running for 5mins it is fine and when I prime the fuel it improves, so would seem like I am not getting the volume of fuel needed when cold.
