viscous fan hub

Post by u13turbo »

I got a new fan hub for my lj78. The hub will bolt to the waterpump sweet but not to the fan, and is much less bulky than the original. I can get a new fan as I've heard the newer hilux ones with more fins cool better. Main question is, will there be any issues with this dayco replacement?

He mentioned it's a dayco one. I haven't fitted one personally, but they are about half the price of a genuine one. May need to find a new fan blade.

Have you read through this?

It may help you with refilling and setting your old fan hub.
I have one of those Dayco fan hubs in the shed, there is no way the Toyota fans can bolt to it, it is even missing the studs to bolt a fan onto. :(

Prefer just replacing the old one so I know its right. This one was below cost as clearance at repco so picked it up cheap. Ill go to lineside tomorrow and try find a new blade.
