Looking at bringing in fully built diff heads.

Post by rokhound »

Hey guys.
I am looking at bringing 2 brand new fully built diff heads (3rd members) stuffed with Nitro gears and ARB's. Has anyone done this and what are the costs (apart from product cost) that I am going to get reamed with. And are there any ways to get around some of these issues.
Cheers

GST is levied on all products at a standard rate of 15% calculated on the sum of the value of goods, the cost of insurance and freight, plus any applicable duty and excise. but I think usa is duty free

Yes I have,
Costs are freight (lots to air freight) , GST and Customs charges.
Remember you pay GST on the freight as well.

item value =0$
"warranty replacement" on the packing slip has always worked mint for me

problem is getting the retailer to actually do it .

Does it not work out cheaper to buy the parts (R&P, locker ,etc ) and assemble into reco 3rds here in NZ?
I would have though the freight cost due to weight of the 3rds would not be cost affective .
LR110 ..... LJ50 project
