Been put off now maratoto track overnight trip

Heading to maratoto track on the 20 September he you want to come more than welcome. I need more info on it I've looked everywhere on here and couldn't find what I wanted I need to know the people I need to ring to find out if the gate will be open and weather it will be open on this day all help would be great

Very unlikely to be open as it is before labour weekend.
It is only opened if the track is dry enough to sustain heavy usage.

Maratoto track is closed at the moment. It's opening will be announced based on weather and track conditions as and when they are suitable for 4wd traffic. Peter Vahry would be the person to contact or check on Auckland 4wd Club website for updates on opening.

Sweet guys fingers crossed that it'll be open. Dumb arse me organized a trip without doing the research may have to make a plan b lol

i would be suggesting to start option B now as Maratoto will not be open unless the temp get past the 30 mark and rain stops altogether. reports ive had is it is real wet in there

If Maratoto is still closed Stadia would be another option ,you need reasonable good trucks though

Thanks guys I have been in contact with Peter and he has also suggested stadia I mite join a club it looks like it'll be less hassle to get access to that track I've recently talked to the guys and we have organized another track
