auberin boost gauge issues

Post by tomsoffroad »

Having problems with the above. Its programmed correctly, wired correctly but only reads 0.0.
Only thing different is its plumbed in post boost tap. Would this affect it?

Throw up a pic but I think its in the wrong spot...
You want to read boost pressure in manifold...
I suspect it will read low as the tap will be bleeding off boost pressure...

Does it work if you blow hard into the sensor....
Or apply 20 psi shop air in to it?
That will confirm the gauge is working....

Thanks for that idea but idea but shop air didn't get a reading either. Still sitting at 0.0psi.

Must be wired wrong or faulty or settings incorrectly entered... ... What setup did you get.... I got one for use with Diesel engines...

Yeah ive checked wiring extensively. Ive installed a few of these now and this is the first time ive had issues.
Its just their 3 bar sensor. Same as the rest. I'm yet to see anything faulty from auberins tho.

Same as mine....
I do recall I had issues.. I had programmed in some of the settings wrong... didnt look properly at the figures and missed the minus symbol....
I can only suggest reviewing the settings...

Yea it's a bit of a pain but it sounds like either your gauge is crook or the sender. If the lights all come on and you are getting a flat 0.0 I would guess the sender is crook.

Does the signal change when you connect and disconnect the sender? Ie does the gauge notice the sender is attached?

If you do have a crook one Im pretty sure I have a spare sender and gauge down here you can have if you replace it when you sort out auberin. I'm away with work but could send it up Friday. Flick me a pm
