For sale: D21 Terrano TD27T, Wellington

Post by mongoose007 »

Hi all,

Getting rid of my Terrano. Spent a few months ####### around with an auto tranny change, on the odd sunny afternoon, only to find out that something in the electrics is blowing a fuse/draining the battery.

Either way, upgraded to a Wrangler, so has to go. I'm getting quotes from wreckers this week, but thought I'd offer it to peeps on here.

Probably an easy fix for someone with an empty garage, and the knowledge, but it isn't worth the extra money to me selling an alive truck vs an as-is-where-is.

Comes with oversize wheels (roughly 1inch wider/taller than standard), 3" lift springs in the rear (carried a lot of tools/fatties in the back), and a few guages to aid in erking all the horsies out of the 2.7 litre turbo diesel power house (voltage, EGT, boost). Also has new alternator.

Panels in reasonable condition throughout, same with interior (could do with a good clean/vac though). Diesel was reliable when working (no blue smoke, started first crank after letting plugs warm at start of winter, better in summer).

Will need towing as won't start.

Rego on hold. Think it has ~5 months left? Your offer will need to take this into account if you want it registered (up to you, I can de-register if you only want a donor).

You're competing with wreckers, basically best price by Thurs 11th lunch time will get it.

Oh yes, and it's a grey 4 door, as in the grey you heard was the new black. In the 90's.
