Front springs or spring spacers

Post by chrome »

Hi all,
Iv got myself another vitara, its a 97 5 door and im wondering about lifting the front up either with spacers or springs.
Iv got all the bits for the back but i get a bunch of people saying spacers are best and some goin the other way..
Help me make a decision here.
All opinions appreciated

Go springs.
V6 front coils give about 2" and I found them fine in my 5 door 1.6, but a touch stiff in the 3 door.
Flip the top shock mount to get a bit extra out of your front shocks and get some camber bolts fitted.
Easy to do (I only have 1 arm and have done them myself)
My 2c :D I used to love my scud :D

Hmmm, was a while ago. Can't remember.
They were out of a 1995ish escudo v6, that all I can remember.
If you search for 'weemsys escudo build' thread, it will probably be on there

Finally sorted. Found some v6 fronts and some toughdog lifted jimny springs.
Has lifted pretty much 2 inch at both ends. Pretty happy how it sits now with carrying capacity still being a shade high at the back

Plenty of droop still with e30 bimmer shocks
