Post by geckoadventure »

This started as a 2.5 day trip it turned into a 4.5 day trip.

For those who like my stories this is the 22-26 August

Here is an adventure and charity work all in one. I got home 2 days late from this one. The picstorial im still doing.

Roll on the Volvo being finished. We are going back on 5th October to put what will be our standard turnkey generator holding bench in which is currently being built and galvanised.

Good stuff Dave. Bloody awesome of you guys to do that.
I see you were sporting the AB's? Should've introduced some rugby to them while you were there.

Awesome work.
I did 4 years voluntary work in the South Pacific, so I get what ya doing. Love the idea of using the 4WD hobby to help. Win-Win

Gravity.
Water flows down that pipe downhill then its forced into the smaller tip making pressure.

Did a similar system in a house we built a few years ago. Had a 64 volt battery bank and a inverter though.

The water is fed from a stream running a small 200 litre sized header tank down a 2" HDPE pipe for length of 300 meters and a total of 80meter drop giving us the 62 PSI we need to turn the water wheel. Totally fossil fuel free which is what we need and wanted.

So working on 0.2a at 240v will give 20a at 24v which im guessing will be shed loads of lighting etc if running led lights. And possibly a wireless radio transmitter during the day.
What a great result.
Epic adventurers and great stories
