Selwyn River trip

I'm going down the Selwyn river Sat(tomorro) 1pm if anyone is interested,well be very relaxed,pretty much and 4wd with hooks welcome.

Hey, how did you find it? myself and another vehicle went down thursday and it was in flood. Went between Coes and Chamberlains fords.

Bugger, Missed it, i would have loved to have gone. Its not a bad little river for a cruise. Very soft at points though ay!

yea well i dont quite have a truck just yet, but i know about 5 people with trucks that should be keen next time round

Was a great we trip,have only been down there once before when it was dry at start and got wet about 2km down,this time was approx 1.5ft at start,so that made things alittle more interesting.no real problems,a few soft spots to test out the snatch rope(only used a rope on my rear hook

must be close to the Hippo's home environment).
deepest part was at end(first photo,Hilux)1km or so were there was no bank to drive on.

Great afternoon,enjoyed it.

Seem to find a few soft spots along the way but wasnt too bad. Got to be the lucky test dummy to drive down the river to find any holes :shock:
