Got the head back on the Pajero and all bits - went to fire it up and blowed if the bloody thing will go.

Cylinders 3 and 4 are not firing, must be the injectors, but I know absolutely nothing about injectors except there are lots of little bits in there.

Injectors 3 and 4 needed to be dismantled to get out of the head so I suspect I didn't get it right putting them back together......

I'm going to sulk now.

Well, lets see, looked at a house yesterday, split the sump on the Prado outside Mikes place when I dropped it into Low 1st from Low 2nd. Engine breaking on the auto works now ;) .

Made an offer on a house today and started planning my garage build....

stirpped enough steel box section off an old apple picker to make the chassi and drawbar for a new tandom trailer .... and made the lower half of a tipping tandom trailer still working on fitting brakes

Built up a new (second hand) diff for Mudda's truck a set or 5.29 gears (ex lemon) that I'd cryo'ed stuck onto a slippery pack dropped into a standard housing.... all ready to go now :D

And built up 6 new traffic sign stands... for work

And now I'm about to go weld up Muddas floor to the new transmission tunnel 8)

this was done over the previous week but most of it wrapped up over the weekend. added smaller bars around head lights and changed the mounts. also added two aerial mounts and screw in rope holder at the top.
Image

then installed the uhf radio under the stereo and installed the charging cradle for the handheld vhf radio
Image

then knocked up a tool box to fit in between the wheel arches.

Image

also went down for a bbq at ashworth beach. went floundering and caught a few. and replaced a broken front wheel stud and tightened both front wheel bearings. also had to replace shackle bushes.

Its gonna be interesting seeing the new mods tim. You can buy little plastic stools from "The Plastic Box" in riccarton, I have feeling your going to need them for yourself and passengers getting in your truck. You will probably need to tie a string to yours so you can pull it up afterwards

I scrubbed and cleaned the road in front of the neighbours after the latest supra conversion turned up - wjw's 2JZ. Seems there is still some finishing to do

Image

The recovery service turned up soon after to wisk away the project but I got the photo scoop of its first break down

Image

That was sat, and today I mountain biked up the worsley spur track to work off some of this xmas pudding (got a lot of riding to do  ).

Watched a grey swb LC with mudzillas on it with some young guys in it winch the farmers fence over flat trying to get up a certain bit of the track(winch cable was on 45 degree angle - was never going to work for where they were, the weight of the vehicle and using just a fence post). Bit of common sense wouldnt have gone astray here  Obviously if the fence starts to lay over you should stop instead of carrying on and ripping the post completely out of the ground, not cool  and to top it all off - all in front of a mountain biker. If anyone knows these guys educate them please LP UA4161 8)

You could build a small epia mini computer to go with that as well and store your mp3's on it and hook it up to your sound system....and add in a GPS reciever, mapping software and webcams....

eg http://www.trademe.co.nz/Computers/Comp ... 246451.htm

installed the most important piece of off-roading equipment there is....

After buying them 6 months ago, I finally put the http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz stickers on 8)

Plus took the kids out along the meremere track (follows the power pylons to the patea dam), nice little drive paupa/clay track. Kids really enjoyed it :D

Well since the zuk is not running too well i took to the loom with some cutters and started to wire in a new ecu . Lost the wiring diagram I had when I installed the first one so moved on to other stuff . Decided since the zuk was not going I had better fix the brakes as they were seized ( you strugled to move it in high ratio  ) as you could not push it around the garage .

Took 5 hours to get all the pistons out of the caliper :( . pump one out , disassemble the caliper , clean up the piston that was out . put it back in reassemble the caliper , block off that piston and do the whole thing again . Grr there is four pistons . Done one side and left the other side for another day .

Moved on to something else that was more fun . Mounting up the super charger to the 1600 suzuki engine . Its a good fit .

Image

Image

Then finsihed off the tow hook mounts for the front of my cousins club truck ( suzuki vitara ) .

Image

Keep finding more work to do before the body can go back on to the chassis :( . Still its a new year so have plenty of time .

Cheers
