Pouto Trip 20/21:09:14

Post by zukmeista »

Good weekend, didn't do any major damage, washed out inside of truck in causeway  Was finding it hard to get anywhere the first day so dropped tyres from 15psi to 8psi and it was like going from 2wd to 4wd :D

Auto hubs decided to play up in water up to top of tyres:evil: So had to wait for truck in front to come back and give me a tow, not much got in though just enough to wet carpet so If I didn't stop it probably would have stayed dry.

did a run up there not to long ago. would be awesome summer trip. We took some body boards for the really steep dunes :D The kids thought it was the best thing ever
Would like to try out the old snowboard out there too
Need a good spade and some mates out there as there is some really soft stuff up in the dunes.

Was a good day out there Harry aye.

My wagon the safari with pallet on roof,
Thoroughly enjoyed going through all that water and only having slightly damp floor. Whereas the other safari had about 3 inches hahahha.

Dunno why everyone always worried about all the "soft sand" it really ain't all that bad, I've only got stuck going over crests. I guess we have beaten tracks that we follow tho :)

I'm always up for trips to Pouto, love it there. Good fun, not so much when front diff and gearbox were all milky tho... Oops
