R50 buying

Post by RJT »

Hi all.
I'm considering trading my D21 Terrano up to an R50 but am unsure whether to go with TD27eti or QD32eti. Will be used as daily/fishing/snowboarding vehicle so no proper offroad use.
I know about the electronic injector pump issues with both but would like to know peoples preferences between the 2. Any other common faults with the QD32? Also fuel economy stats.
Cheers, Rhys.

I was thinking about going down the R20 route but like both the exterior and interior shape of the R50 better.
Lack of ladder chassis isn't really an issue for me this time round as I'm not going to modify this one. Will be getting a second vehicle for that.

and the injector pump isn't that much of an issue realy, you can pick up a good mechanical one for 2-300 dollars and it's an afternoons work for two to change it over and install the accelerator cable, you will loose your tachometer though as the signal is taken from the ETI injector pump.
