found the rattle from under my safari, front part of exhaust solid mounted, then a flexi joint then solid gearbox mount then two flex mounts the solid mount lasted a year,
also FJ40 exploded left front cv goop and metal bits filled hub :roll:

Got a wheel alighnment done went for a play broke my headlight then fixed it. Steering didn't feel right had a look and the wheel alighnment guys hadn't tightened up one of the top arm bolts when they were correcting the camber. So one bolt stripped of thread and the other badly bent all fixed and ready to go now
l200 with not a straight panel on it

Had a great day with Auckland 4wd Club in Waiuku Forest then drowned Jeep due to brake failure. Not good. Refer to posting under Jeeps.

where did you manage to drown a jeep in the Waiuku Forest, in all these year to have missed a pond of that size, oh unless you drove into the fire pond at the lookout :lol:

No it was the next day helping out a stranded boat - Long Story short - Boat had flat battery in river so we pulled it to the ramp and I drove down the ramp to get closer to boat and well......... the rest is history but my son who is 9 leapt out the back of the jeep and chucked the tow strop over my rear hook and ran up to a pole and stopped it going all the way in - Yes he is a legend & yes I am proud.

Finished off my camper box on my Unimog.Nothing like sitting by the fire,cooking a fry-up watching the telly!

Put a 14 ton Hydraulic winch on it too.

Built and fitted battery box trays for batteries shifted to rear.

Also fitted west coast mirrors and made up plate to go over old hole

I ditched west coasters an fitted navarra mirrors west one stick out tofar dig in bank an hit trees

Oh yea fair enough! My mirror broke on drivers side and the mirror mount on electric motor. Fked if I was paying 250 bucks from a wrecker!!

Haven't done too much bank leaning 4wding yeeet.

Old unimogs are awesome so much cooler than the current ones
my 4wd is not a truck

old mercedes never die but sometimes they do need some love

older cars are good,mercedes are better,older mercedes are the best
