lifting terrano rear cheaply
I'd like to lift the rear on my terrano 2inches or so,the lift springs are pricey to buy and no spring spacers seem to be available, I'm thinking I'm going to try the Jeep spring trick.I've searched on here and can't find anything related to such a thing, anyone have some cheap w21 lift springs or poly blocks or know where I can get them? ta

Ubs69 lwb bighorn rear springs will give you about 25 to 30 mm lift in the rear

Ended up getting jeep grand Cherokee front springs, worked at treat, about 3inch lift! Got a set of body lift blocks off tm, need to put them in too but am kinda putting it off as I suspect it's going to be a shit job!

Spray the bolts every day for a week before you start with crc. Makes life easier

not that i am aware of with only a 2 inch lift, just the steering arm spline should be loosened allowing it to slide up then retightened when the blocks are in place. then cut and reweld the bumper mounts to suit the higher body line around the grill and back door.

If you are doing a body lift, then you may find that you need to cut the channel of the 2WD - 4WD selector a bit to give it more travel. Or it won't quite engage into 4WD-Low.
I had to cut the slot a bit longer, but it was only the aluminum boot surround, not the tunnel.
What else:
- driveshaft loop will need lengthening / extend the mounts.
- handbrake cable mounts will need extending
- fuel tank filler pipe might need adjusting
- steel fuel and brake lines that run along the firewall inside the engine bay will need unclipping, or they snap their mounts.
- bottom of the radiator shroud will need removing
- if you have a manual gearbox, not sure if you need to adjust anything there. For an auto you don't.
Think that's about it. It's been a while since I did mine.
