My winch turned up on Friday so started building my winch bar.

Hauled the surf out of storage and removed the hand brake cables ready for being modified for the rear disc conversion. Discovered leak in new brake hose (thanks stinky) - bugga! Converting old bar and towbar into receiver hitch plus two extra hitches to take motor bike carrier and recovery hooks.

Tested 4wd, still works and tyres are great after all skid! Climbed better than the rover grrr! It's the touring truck

started putting the bits together to put my Viair compressor in truck, only had the compressor for 3 years

done some more on the rear four link more still to go

New turbosmart wastegate fitted to my 1kzt engine in my prado bum chop project. All set to 20 psi.

Well I cant quite believe it spent along weekend in Hanmer there and back through the Rainbow and managed to do more damage to the safari than my last coast trip. The corrugations must have been just right to undo all sorts of things including a brake calliper
On the upside had a great time hanging in Hanmer with friends had lunch on the way back around the side of lake Tension and managed to wash the passengers front carpet when the water came in through the air vents on one river crossing
