hey guys new too this site.

used to have 4x4 holden rodeo sold (worst idea ever) so have sold the car and have purchased a toyota surf. its a 1995 kzn130 ssr-x model with the 1kz-te engine.

it is mainly being used as a work wagon currently. and a shuttle whip for the bikes. but unfortunately the bug has bitten me and starting to take it off road more and more.

shes stock except for the steelies with 31's and a straight pipe from turbo back (which makes the 3 litre sound amazing) have a few things in mind over the coming months eg: snorkel, body lift, roof rack, spotties etc etc the list goes on and on.

anyways just thought id share m ride (aka Hiedi) and if anyone knows any mint tips/tricks i need to know about this model or local tracks or even local surf gurus would be super appreciated.

cheers :)

Just remember, any body lift now requires cert. If you're going to get a cert then do all your mods straight away that need it. 33's (2 inch suspension and 2"body lift to fit) rear disc conversion, rear panhard drop bracket. That would be minimal, then if you get bit hard, you can go for a SAS but then that is getting quite expensive and involved.

Get a min 2.5 exhaust with straight through muffler, bypass your egr, sort out an aftermarket transcooler and get the one removed from inside the bottom tank of your radiator, do these mods before you do your head.

Great trucks, Had mine 10 years and still wouldn't sell it, unlike most nissan owners 8)
