wot amount of boost can i run?
wot amount of boost can i run?
I have a 1kzte & are going to install a factory top mount intercooler.;already have a 2.5inch exhaust..Wot would be a safe boost to run before i have any issues with the factory ecu?

in short bursts , phernominal amounts , upwards of 50lb but dont expect your motor to last more than a few hours of good hard caneing though,
headstuds and headgaskets will be the failure points unless you break a crank or rod. getting enough fuel out of the injector pump will be the big problem and limit you , look at lpg injection, its far easier and more controllable , pick up an american 4x4 mag and pick up a kit from one of the companies in the states

amount of boost
Thanks guys.I think i will go with 12-13psi & also maybe go & see deisel pumps or similar outfit for their recommendations.

Mine already boosts standard at 11.9. You won't get any more out of it with the standard turbo... I've tried...
BUT if anyone knows how. please let me know?

A bleed valve in the wastegate actuator line should have you running as much boost as you want.. if you've tried this with no results I'd say you've got a stuck wastegate.

mmm It may pay to take a look at it then... What presure should I get out of it?

Well, I disconnected and blocked the line altogether one day, pulled out of the drive and the gauge pegged at 18psi, which is more than enough to terminally damage the ceramic compressor wheel (opinions vary but I wouldn't run more than 15 pounds with these turbos).
Someone more knowledgeable should be able to help you out.

most stock turbo's can only run a certain amount of pressure , generally around 15 pounds , some a touch more . speak to a diesel/Turbo professional . the last thing you want is to overboost the turbo , the compressor wheel to fail and send bits of it thru your motor damaging pistons , etc - bye bye diesel engine ( then you say "if only i hadn't done that cos a new motor is so many weeks worth of pay -lol )
