Re: Trouble mounting mcc winchbar
i know this is a long shot but have you tried talking about this problem with the company that sold the bar??
Re: Trouble mounting mcc winchbar
Yeah have emailed them waiting on reply now just thought I'd ask on here see if anyone had same problem
Re: Trouble mounting mcc winchbar
If its purpose made for that model and it don't fit then they need to rectify it.
They might not even know, their moulds and jigs may be out

Re: Trouble mounting mcc winchbar
then being a ln106 from 94 was it made for the last of the live axle or the first of the IFS chassis?
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.
Re: Trouble mounting mcc winchbar
mount brackets first loosely to chassis then mount bar to brackets,
jack into position of desired fit,
tighten brackets to chassis then tighten brackets to bar.
mine was tight also when I tried mounting everything on the ground,
the bracketry seemed to be ill fitting until I went about it as advised.
hopefully they have given you the correct bar, was 6 weeks wait for mine

LN106 were always solid fronts up to 1998 which was the change-over year.
LN107 is the IFS SR5 models of the same era.

automotive production years don't go by date's for example 31 december 1997. model changes happen usually in august the previous year so auto makers have chance to build up stock for demand.
the IFS cab/chassi hilux(not the surf which was IFS since 89) started production on 95 in some countries and live axle was stopped august 96, any sold after that date were over supply of old stock.
