removing fuel lines to injectors

Post by J_Dub »

I need to separate the hard lines to my injectors to remove my intake manifold for a clean, anything I need to know as far as bleeding the lines or do I have to plug the lines or anything else I need to be aware of before I crank the engine over once its finished and all back together?? Do I just prime the lines back up by using the pump on the filter?

Be very careful not to get ANY dirt in the pipes or injectors when you have them off. preferably get some plastic caps for the injectors and pump to keep things clean.
When you put it back together leave the top nut loose by a turn and crank the motor till you get fuel coming out the loose nut then tighten them. that will bleed the system and flush out any dirt that has got into the pipes.

I primed mine with the filter pump and bled each injector individually, either way works
