Ideal Jimny offstet

Post by Tarmac »

I have recently collected a 2006 Jimny and some ROH track 2 15x7's, at the moment they are +13 and I have some 30x9.5's to go on there.

From my homework -13 seems to be the std offset to run these but can anyone out there confirm this before I ping out the centers and get them re-welded (will get centers shifted to suit).

I know a lift etc is in order first but just trying to confirm this one at the start.

Thanks

I am running 31x10.5 on my Jimny with no body lift. I can't remember the exact figures but i know that the inside of the rim is in the standard position, all the widening is outwards and this is how it needs to be. . Should be able to work out what it is by measuring the standard rims. more outwards offset will require more cutting of the guards. I had to cut very little steel out of the guards but removed the front plastic guards completely and cut some of the firewall as well as a small amount out of the chassis out riggers and extended the bump stops 25 mm. Also had to remove the steel part of the guard flairs and cut the plastic flairs. No rubbing at all now.

Are those 31's on a 7" rim. Sounds about right as factory is +5 on 5.5 wide rims. So keeping similar backspacing would require bout -13 to 14. Is there a spring lift in there also? Thanks

I have 15x7's with 30x9.5. The offset is -15 and they fit well. When I had the plastic guards on the front, the edge of the tread on the tyres lined up with the edge of the guard. My tyres did rub on the back of the front guards so I had to do a bit of trimming. This was with a 2 inch body lift only..

Yep, 7 inch rims. there is a 50mm spring lift as well.
