hey guys after falling out of love with my 4 runner after doing the beam axle conversion i have brought a cheap little zook it has no wof no reg but on hold

its a silver flat deck

when i got it all the bars and bumpers were a yuck grey colour so out with the repco 3 cans for 8 bucks of black and fixed that up

it has 16 inch biscuits on it at the mo they are a 205 wide rock solid tyre no fide wall give at all

my plans so far are lock rite in the bum
snorkle
bit of protective bar work
and a big service
disc rear end ??

ohhh and it has a nissan diesel motor a cd 17 in it mated to the standard g box

sounds like a ideal truck mate, I run a cd17 in my offroad suzuki ive put a turbo on it from a later cd20 gos good.
be fun if you get it on the road, thats wjat I want to do have a road legal ute with cd17+t .
interested to see how it gos.

reeeeeaaaalllllyy!!!!!!!! i think we should be mates so i can pick your brains about these ... great motors hahaha , got any pictures of yours ? also what did your turbo set up come off? no crazy mods needed ?

haha no worrys I just bought a turbo manifold and turbo of a nisssn cd20 and ground the manifold flange a bit to make it fit, a bit of pipeing for intake a oil feed from a tee from the oil pump behind the alternator and a dump into the sump and your good to go..

really want a diesel one for the road hows your radiator set up cos my adapter pushes the engine foward a bit.

mine is ok i have a electric fan behind the grill as its not close but too tight for it to be in engine side , ill add a pic my mounts off the block are changed to keep orignal gear box position

so now has a wof ! and 30 inch tyres ! on 15x7 rims ! looks pretty good if you ask me from what it started life as and how i got it as a saggy faded old girl to now im happy

some up dates so today i did some bar work and talked to a awesome guy named shane he owns mild to wild over in wainui hes a top bloke !! spent at least 40 min talking about leaf spring set ups with me couldnt find a nicer guy !!!

hey mate hows the truck go getting up to 100ks and hows the engine go sitting on 100ks is it revving out or just cruising still can give it a bit more gas and pass? do you know if its got orginal diff
ratios?

mine didnt like the turbo ... change in path going 1600 now and selling it all if anyone is keen now has a noise in the bottom end think it may of been there before but im over diesel and want to try the 1600 buzz

so new motor is in g16 16v efi did the wiring pretty easy not as bad as everyone says ! pm me if ya need a hand

got it all running sweet as just doing rear mount rad pipes and waiting on a new dizzy well me to find one haha

soooo a while since ive been bothered to do a write up but she is going for a cert on friday (today is monday )

so pretty much ive done the 1600 conversion
power steer
lockers both ends
29x10.5 swampers on - 50 offset rims that are beadlocked
custom shackles
i reset my own springs in the pipebender works a treat!
exo cage
light bars
bullbars
custom tray
rear mount radiator
custom front drive shaft using a hilux front universal
led tail lights



to do is finnish up beadlocking the rims
shave the diffs
front and rear gussets on the diffs
storage (god damn i need some )
re make rear hook mounts as bud bent mine with the lard ass minsteral

bout it for now ill dump a shit load of pics when i get on my computer next
