Adjustable panhard rod - KZN130

Post by surf2010 »

Hi guys,

New here, just have a quick question. Am I able to get a WOF with a tough dog adjustable panhard rod? I only have a 50mm suspension in a KZN130.

Cheers

Yep not a problem as long as it is installed correctly and the bushes aren't flogged out.

You need a cert for adjustable suspensions arms unfortunately

Given that, if it was me, I would be very tempted to have an appropriately skilled person just lengthen the current panhard to suit.

If it breaks, build it stronger.
If it doesn't break, drive it harder.

Which also requires cert. Better to get adjustable one certed, then it can be adjusted to suit later on

Us law abiding people would definitely get a cert for such a radical mod but I have heard of some bad bad men who would do something like that, paint it up to look factory & be sure to get it a bit dirty before warrant time

Before indulging in such nefarious activities one should be aware that stock panhard rods can break under extreme 4wd conditions so you'd want to make sure any mods were done properly.
