Devil's Gate Wellington - Hilux

Post by TuxHilux »

Hi guys,

Has anyone taken a 2013/14 SR5 Double Cab Hilux over Devil's Gate at Red Rocks on the South Coast of Wellington?

My old 2001 flatbed double cab Hilux is amazing, narrower, and clears it no worries, but looking at the new ones I'm worried the clearance isn't enough and the wheel base is too long to not bottom out. If a factory one won't make it, would a 50mm lift kit be sufficient?

Cheers

apart from the usual 4wds you see over there, I have witnessed a Mercedes AMG SUV over there and a Ford Territory

have in the past taken over a Subaru Leone and also an EB Honda Civic

I think you will be fine ;-)
