Not to much progress has happened got the rear diff crown wheel and pinion swapped over do have matching diff ratios now.
Struggling a little bit to get a solid brake pedal, think there is air trapped somewhere.
Started making a front bar, plenty of work yet to do on it..seem to like over building stuff so a bit heavier than first planned....need to buy some pipe now:)

Thought I'd finish my Snorkels before I bolted the bar on this time as I had to take guard off to finish Snorkels, not quite as close fitting as I'd like, but will do until they get damaged.... need to mount the top to the a pillars yet. Also need to trim the rear guards a bit.or extend bump stops....

Holy front bar looks good!

You might find those snorkel tops catch on the scrub a bit though! My cruiser doesn't fit in the shed anymore with the twin snorks so had to take them off :( Might rebuild them lower eventually.

If it doesn't break, drive it harder.

Yea they stick forward more than I wanted..they are the same height as the roof line though.. I couldn't seem to get it to sit closer with the angle of the snorkel tops, didn't look right.

:!: Started on Sliders today, made the main body, still have to make the mounts. Was going to make them clamp/bolt on may end up being welded on yet.not sure. Considering either putting crush tunes in, or maybe threaded plate welded on... stuck out passed the body a little bit as plan to bolt Exo onto it. Still well inside tyres tho

The front mount I'm going to reinforce body mount then bolt through. Haven't quite worked out rear mount yet.

The big parts are rear bar,Exo, mount handbrake caliper..then lots of small stuff like wiring in lights/ winch, fit some window washers, get all the air out of the brakes . no doubt will need a sway bar for cert. Cut rear guards. Modify bonnet to fit. So still a few things to do

Haven't been doing much... but going to change surf mastercylinder to a 80 series cruiser in hopes of fixing my excessive pedal travel, but the ports come out the opposite side. Rear line is no problem will just make a new line from proprtioning valve. Front line will be in my inlet pipe, before I go changing my inlet, anyone know of a right angle adapter or even a banjo fitting I could use? Photo is of current surf mastercylinder.cruiser is the same except bigger bore and ports out towards centre

Strange, I thought the brake caliper a are the same bore size between surf and 80. I had a similar problem on mine and it turned out to be due to the rear disc conversion and the front pad shims being bent and acting like springs pushing the piston out further every time the brakes we're let off meaning more travel on the in stroke. I had to put in a pro portioning valve to reduce the pressure thus pedal travel on the rear brakes.

What's your rear brake setup and do you have a pro portioning valve in the system?
If there's no pro portioning valve on the rear brakes you might have the issue of the rear brakes locking up first which makes the vehicle dangerous under brakes.

Threads are M10x1 and the master cylinder setup will be a double flair on the outputs. You might just have enough room to put a tube nut on there and bend the tube after it's bolted to the master cylinder.

Sorry, I see you have a nissan front end...

Still worth checking those things but your probably going around it the right way with the larger bore master cylinder.

Do you know what the nissan master cylinder bore size is compared to the 80 series?

Brakes are standard safari discs all round. Surf master is 23.8 mm bore, cruiser is 25.4 and safari is 26 . something. I might end up trying to do a tight bend but not much room there. You can just see the proprtioning valve mounted beside the master cylinder

Yea a banjo fitting would be ideal, have looked online but can't find one yet that has a brake flare fitting out of it. All the ones I've seen so far have been a an3 style fitting but I don't think that will be legal for road use.. just thinking some cars I've seen have a banjo out of the abs pump, but I can't remember which vehicle

You could get a rubber hose made up with a banjo at one end and flair at the other then join the tube to that.
