Post by adventures_more »

i have a 89' lancruiser SWB - LJ71 , i will be swapping out the rear spiders for a Powertrax locker and at the same time doing the front , i really want an active LSD ( non clutch type ) and not a locker , as will be up in the mountains ( snow and ice ). I'm wondering what LSD's are available ????

I've got a BJ73 MWB Cruiser with a factory type LSD in the front. I had the clutches tightened up so it still steers much the same but it takes a lot more to engage the clutch hence more traction. I reckon its made a big difference as opposed to an open diff. Once the front hubs are disengaged it drives like normal on the road.

No it wasn't standard, i removed the open and fitted it. As far as i know you can fit front to rear. But it would pay to confirm this with someone in the know before doing it.
