Center diff lock 80 series

Post by Lchundy »

Ive brought a 97 80 series and it doesnt have center diff lock button so can turn on in high range like my old 80
so im after a center diff switch or apparently you can use a hazard light switch,if anyone has one they want to part with(newer style dash)im keen on it.

Would the viscous center diff mechanically lock the center diff?vicous could still slip and not be 50/50 front/rear?
I done a bit of interweb reading and if i install the switch it will mechanically lock it in hi like it does in lo

Easy enough to put a switch in to to activate cdl in high just to make sure its locked ,which seems common pratice on us models with same set up as mine
