08 ford ranger check light

My speedo stopped working after driving it in the bush and on my home the check engine light came on. I got home and checked it over and found a branch wedged up underneath and had ripped my speedo wires out of plug. Got a new plug and got it sorted and speedo works now but check lights still on. I've tried disconnecting battery for awhile and didn't work. Is there any other way to reset it or do I have to take it to the shop. cheers

Mine resets after a dozen starts or so. or I connect to the obd2 port and clear it with my phone.

Ive ordered a Bluetooth adaptor for it, do you use that torque app.

Just disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for 5 mins and reconnect it should clear them ,

Use "torque" on an android. Its really good, you get lots of information on how the engine is running e.g. boost pressure, fuel rail pressure, load etc and you can diagnose and clear faults.
