soo ive been around and owned a few 4x4s but never got into the modding side of things as I used them mainly for beach access to go surf casting
This time around im going a lil more into it!
so far ive slapped two electric fans on the radiator controlled by a thermo adjustable switch from 40d - 120d(more for when im up north playing in sand dunes)
installed a boost and EGT gauge -
now the EGT probe what a mission that was.. soaked all the nuts in crc pentr8 over night came to take the turbo off. all four snapped.. both oil return bolts snapped and all the dump pipe bolts snapped
- tried EVERYTHING to get the broken studs out of the manifold.. gave up and bought one with the standard I/C mounts for $80
tuned boost up to 1bar and cranked up the diesel pressure and its still under load up hill hitting about 650-700 pre turbo
ohh also removed the EGR and boost relief valve thingy
just sorting a intercooler as I type this!!
the ute is a blast to drive now - runs on 15"rims and just 31" for now as I heard I have to strengthen the steering to go bigger? and will need to lift the body abit!
any advice would be sweet as im new to the whole modding diesels!!!
