Duratorque trailer suspension.

Post by JONO250 »

Anyone on here running these setups on thier trailers? I am looking into building a trailer and am thinking about running this type of suspension. Just after a bit of feedback on it.

Any good places to purchase from??

Thanks

if possible fit a set of shocks (a lot of caravans run this suspension with shocks). not just for better suspension but it can stop the wheel from flipping right around when the rubber fails.

We run Dura torque axels on all our boat trailers at work. they are quiet and not far from maintenance free.. (brakes don't seem to like salt water after awhile) I think we may (have to check with the boss) have acouple of 1750kg axels we could part with if you were interested

they work fine if that's how you want to build your trailer, you can get a pretty low deck height if that's what your looking for, although there's plenty of them on car trailers they aren't the best for heavy loads the wheels endup all on the piss and scrubbing if you load them right up :D , stay away form old second hand duratorques that are past their use by date seen a few old ones fly to bits over the years :D
