d22 sas conversion questions

procured a d22 chassis with a qd32+t big box etc, etc
have heard the rd28 patrol transfer should all bolt up,
can anyone verify that first hand?
problems are only a problem if you not willing to learn how to find solutions

Haven't done first hand, but from my research the transfer won't bolt straight to the back of big box, rear housing-transfer is a different bolt pattern. But putting QD bellhousing onto rd28 box, or swap rear half of rd28 box to qd32 box to attach transfer to qd32 box seems feasible. Gear ratios may be different- I would be interested to know.

you need to use your RB25 bellhousing and the auto from a TD27/QD32 then bolt the auto safari transfer to the back.
or the gearbox from a nissan espirit RD28 same engine block casting

the safari transfer will also bolt up to the R32 GTR or GTS4 skyline 4wd nissan cefiro or 4wd nissan stagea gearbox as they share the same internals as the safari, but the back half of the safari manual will not bolt up to the front half of the skyline as the castings are different sizes. see below

(It was actually the other way around, when nissan needed a strong box that could handle the power to go behind the GTR and GTS4 they took the safari gearbox and shoved all the internals in a lighter casting for motorsport, just different ratios)

Plans just fall together. Fresh plan is driveline Is now heading into a gq.
Box is a manual so would i be lookin for a spirit rd28 manual and transfer to bolt behind it.
Who has one and what price do they fetch?
