2.6 petrol MU

Hi im looking at buying a 2600 petrol MU ute.
Are the engines any good ? and is the fuel economy reasonable ?

engines good, mate has one and thrashes the tits off it and still runs mint, lives on redline pritty much, fuel consumtion is average, but what would you expect out of a largish cc 4 cyl 4x4

Thanks. thats pretty much what I expected.
I havent heard anything bad about the engines and wont be doing any extreme 4WDing mainly bush tracks etc and the occasional 4x4 funday
