OK think I need a fresh brain to think on this lol.
I put in this section rather than Suzuki since I suppose anyones general ideas could be of help but its an SJ413.
So I brought one of those push button manual line locks from lowrangeoffroad, and I can't get the bloody thing to work, button pushes down pops straight back up again, and won't hold the brakes locked if you hold the button down either. So I suspect I've got a pressure issue or air stuck somewhere. But buggered if I can work it out. Bled over a bottle of fluid thru the system now no bubbles at wheels or master ports.
So an overview of the system, vacuum boosting not hooked up since the rubbers are perished and it leaks air, Subaru 1 1/16th master cylinder, primary port connected to factory front lines thru the 5/6 way block (does this 'do' anything or is it just a junction block?), vitara calipers. Secondary port plumbed thru firewall along trans tunnel to line lock mounted on side of tunnel, then thru rear floorpan and original hose location to a T connector on diff and to SJ callipers. No leaks anywhere. Do I need to bleed or throw away the 5 way block? Should I bleed the line lock fittings too or perhaps it shouldn't be mounted at an angle? Or maybe its just crap in which case it was an expensive piece of crap lol.
Any thoughts, ideas, offers of help in exchange for beer are welcome lol

Re: Brake bleeding/Line lock help
Are you activating it right?
Here is what it says on the site.
Details
This hydraulic lock uses the line pressure of the system to hold your brake locked, no electrical or special linkage required. Just step on the foot brake, push the park lock down, let off the foot brake and its locked. Step on the foot brake again and it opens automatically. Holds any vehicle with hydraulic brakes where you put it. Also with the park lock set it removes all pounding on ring and pinon gears when tailoring a vehicle. Made for use with DOT 3 fluids. Part # PK1
Its basically a handbrake... As soon as you touch the brakes it turns off.... So it wont lock out the rear brakes if you want to do skids etc etc...

Re: Brake bleeding/Line lock help
Yup that's how I'm trying to use it and that's what I brought it for, didn't want the drum brake hanging off the back of the transfer. It does skids plenty well enough with 4.16 reduction in the transfer and locked rear diff haha.
The only problems I see people having are pushing the pedal too hard and it gets jammed on due to not being able to push enough pressure to overcome it.
Only thing I can think of is the short line that runs from the rear hose to the T fitting I bent quite tight wondering if its crushed down enough to build up pressure but then its only slowly bleeding out towards the wheels. That's about all I can think of before I start hitting my head on the wall haha
