85 surf body swap

I've recently bought a 1985 surf with a serious rust problem in the body. Id just like to know what my options are for a body swap/cab replacement, as far as I can figure out if I swap with another 85 surf body I won't have to worry about certing, but if I go to the next generation I will. Is this the same case for replacing it with an 85 hilux cab?
I don't mind too much if I have to get a cert for it but I'd rather not spend the extra time and money if it's not needed.

It's got a lexus v8, suspension and body lift, landcruiser brakes and a few other things which it has already been created for a few years ago which is why I bought it,
If anyone has any knowledge/ideas thanks on advance also if any has any bodies or cabs in half decent condition for sale let me know.

interested in this aswell, thinking maybe down the road swapping my 85 surf with the same model body but better condition, what kinda legal shit would i get into haha

From my discusions from talking to them about my build if its not identical cab it needs cert

So ln/kzn130 cab needs cert and hilux cab will need cert for cab and mounts as a ute cab has different mounts also you would only be able to go single cab as chassie to short for dble cab

Cool thanks, if I was to use a ln61 body would the same rules apply? As it is the same body, mounts etc and the same chassis apart from the IFS? Or even a yn60/61 body?

If it same body shape will be fine just have to swap tags over

I've got a yn60 surf Soild chassis with a ln61 surf body on it and no problems what so ever with wofs you just get them to change some info on there computer about the car , so like the on thwre computer they list the car with the 2 seprate body numbers and its sweet
