My name's Ethan, I live up in Kerikeri. Just got a 1989 GQ Safari and never owned a 4wd before. Im looking for tips and information on how to look after it properly.
My plans for it are mainly camping and workhorse. I've already done a good trip in it around the coromandel, which was awesome, fits a double mattress perfectly in the back. I've got some nice cabinets to go in the back now that I know what I want for the setup. Hoping to get a nice set of racks for the top soon.
Safaris in relatively good condition, needs some rust work underneath, just pulling off parts and cleaning them and re spraying. Haha which is actually quite a bit of work I think but I'm just working through it piece by piece
Anyway looks like a good forum, thanks in advance for any help and see you guys online/around
