Query about Egr delete on a qd32eti.
I have done the egr delete on my qd32. When you shut the truck off completely from running the truck stops harder than it use to. So the motor literally stops dead set, and shakes the whole truck?? Has anyone heard of this??

did you remove the intake throttle?

Yeah even just the plate from the swivel pin through the housing.
Failing that removing egr may have caused the ecu to advance timing for some reason. Are the vacum actuators for the egr still in place? Pays just to plug the pipes so the ecu still thinks its doing its job correctly

Yeah I removed the butterfly, I havnt removed the vacuum actuator pipes though! I'll do that and see what happens

i don't know that exact engine, but the intake butterfly is also used on shutdown to make it nice and smooth.
if there is two vac pipes to the actuator or two actuators its probably a dual egr and shutdown setup.
with other engines i've swapped the hoses around so it won't close it for egr but will close on shutdown.
