WTD -patrol centre console heater/blower

Need to find a centre console mounted blower/heater from a patrol (maybe any nissan will do - toyota one is too big) for my 40 series project.

Prefer canterbury area to save some $$$ on postage.

Looks like the same unit. My truck is 24v, are you going to be 12 or 24v?

Bugger, looking for 12v. Must have got my wires crossed about the model.

I'll check my source this weekend and confirm the model.

95 onwards diesel safaris are 12 volt or all petrol safaris are 12 volt. All patrols are 12 volt but the patrol does not have the rear heater unit.
Hope that helps.

Also jap import pajeros had a heater unit under the back seat. Was a pretty small unit from memory.

Just went and had a look at the heater unit, and [in typical Nissan fashion] it is 12v. If you want to give me a ring 03 2304143 and we can organise something so you can have a look at.

Okay I thought the stamp on the plastic said 24V.

There's a plate on the side of the fan motor that says 12v. I just ran a couple of wires to a battery and it seems to go ok, but I'm not sure how fast it's supposed to blow.

Just using it as a demister for the windscreen so as long as it does that I'm not fussed.

I'll have a chat to my heater guru ASAP and let you know.

I chatted to Rick at 4WD accessories (or Ricks 4wd or whatever its called ) and he said they are all 12v motors but the fan cooled resister coils are fed 24v and it steps down to 12v - or something like that. So it should do what I need.
