BJ74 Leaking Steering Box

Post by MikeL200 »

I have a 1989 BJ74 with a leaking steering box. I've been to Toyota for a seal kit and was told $377 for the complete kit and $227 for just the vertical shaft kit.
Any ideas for alternative solutions? REPCO was no use and both them and Toyota suggested SKF or someone similar.

Does anyone know the specs of the shaft so that I don't have to pull it to measure?
