Experienced Tuner Needed (Landcruiser 70 15BFT)

Post by Forged »

Hey Everyone

I am wanting to get my truck properly tuned as it is running a bit funny. Ive taken it to Diesel Maintence, who is very reputable in Whangarei, however they have only tuned the fuel up till the idle was also going up. It is running a low 8psi. I understand it needs diesel pump work and compensator fiddling to get it working well. It has a rebuilt 12mm plunger pump.

Can anyone help or point me in the direction of a workshop who could help.

Cheers

give it to one of the many drift nuts up there, if they can squeeze 5-600 hp out of an Sr20det/rb25det/4g63T/3s gte/1gze/1jgte/ im sure it wont take them more then an hour to get your MT's tearing up tarseal.
my advice before anything else if it's got a 12ml plunger already get an pyro gauge on it...
and for the love of all that is muddy. get an intercooler on it before fiddling with the fuel any more.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

Hi , How did you get on tuning the 15bft? I'm considering putting this same engine in my Landcruiser 62 series as a replacement for 3f petrol . How do you like your engine and any hints or tips!

Cheers J
