80 Series Electric Window issues

Post by fullthrottle »

When your electric windows are becoming slow / sluggish to open and close, you will find that the loom to window motor plug starts to blacken inside.
the window motor starts to struggle as it's not getting enough power to drive it.

Solution: Chop the plug off and hard solder the motor to the loom. Worked wonders for mine.

Also don't forget to clean and lube the window track and rubber guides.

What product did you use to lube the rubber?

I just give mine a good dose of silicon spray from time to time.
